I know this is another boring topic, yet this is something vital to know especially if you plan on establishing a mori girl wardrobe.
With all those laces and frills, you’d think they’re delicate! well not so much if you’ve mastered these tips.

"Oh God! How do i wash these??"
Before getting excited, always check the signs! Some clothes have laundry tags, so always make sure to check them out first! if you can’t find one, then you’re left on your own on what not to do and what you can do to a piece of clothing. If you're afraid, look for a piece of clothing with the same material and wash as it dictates. These tags are not really necessary, but they do prevent heartaches made by washing accidents.

Bleeding:
If you have colored and patterned pieces, check for bleeding first. Get a towel and dab it in water with detergent and dab it in hidden places. If color sticks to your towel, then wash these clothes seperately!
Use only cold water with some vinegar and salt to help seal the color. From experience, warm water will just bleed the color and stain everything. I regret not knowing this when my burgundy dress bled all over its cream lace.
How to: Machine Wash
- BEFORE WASHING, check out your clothes if there’s any visible soiling. With a detergent and a washcloth and dab the spot directly before washing.
- make use of a net laundry bag for delicates, ribbons etc. Trust me, you can pop in super delicate lace without a care if you put it in a laundry bag. If you can't find one, you can make one for yourself using soft tulle, chiffon or organza.
- Wash like usual with a trusted detergent!
How to Hand Wash:
- Dissolve your detergent in water. Never dump detergent over wet clothes as these detergent may result in hard to remove stains.
- Soak your garments for 15-20 minutes before rubbing them.
How to Dry Clothes
- before you hang your clothes, or pop them in a dryer, rearrange the shape in advance or straighten out the clothes to make ironing easier.
- pinning ribbons and laces back to its shape will lessen ironing time and save energy!
- hate ironing? no problem. Do NOT wring out the water on your last rinse (when you put your fabric conditioner) instead, hang it while it’s still wet while straightening the fabric. When the water has dripped away from your piece, wave your garment and pat to remove large wrinkles. This technique is best used on delicate fabrics that could melt when ironed. Or if you just hate ironing
do you have other techniques? I'd love to hear from you
